Objective To facilitate the healing and empowerment of young girls, to live in dignity and to enjoy quality of life, through · Outreach programmes, building relationships of trust with 40 young women on the streets, in prostitution, and in prison per week · A fellowship meeting in the budget hotels once in two weeks, building relationships of trust with young women in prostitution · A drop-in centre, offering support services to 30 young women per month, improving their quality of life · Preventative and basic health care services, informing, counselling and supporting 20 girls in prostitution and members of the community in terms of HIV/AIDS · A transitional residential facility, improving the quality of life of 70 young girls per year through empowering, holistic services · Quality education and training opportunities for 70 young girls at risk per year · Quality services, staff and volunteer development and evaluation programmes · Advocacy and lobbying through the X-Network · Assisting girl child victims of trafficking in partnership with IOM · Baby care facility for 30 babies per year of women in prostitution and unemployed women |

Activities · Day and night outreach to 40 young girls on the streets per week · Prison outreach to 30 juvenile girls per week, and family mediation, aftercare and educational support to 10 juvenile girls per month · Fellowship meeting once in two weeks in the budget hotels, attended by 15 girls · Trafficking outreach, focusing on awareness raising with train conductors and taxi drivers, and building partnerships in identifying victims · Support, advice and referral services to 30 young girls per month at the drop-in centre, focusing mostly on HIV/AIDS · A transitional residential programme supporting 70 young girls per year towards re-integration into society. This programme entails: * family re-integration services * education and training support * individual counselling and life planning * therapy programme, including drumming, group work, a three months finishing school focusing on character building and confidence development * recreation such as netball, bead work, outings, parties, etc. · X-Network meeting once a month, attended by 20 role players · Operating a baby care facility during the day, offering stimulating programmes and monitoring health and development of the babies, and engaging with parents regarding their respective situations |
