GOVERNANCE, MANAGEMENT & STAFF
The Tshwane Leadership Foundation functions under the supervision of a Board of Trustees, meeting quarterly.
The members of the Foundation, that have representation on the Board, are · the partners, i.e. donor churches, · associate partners, i.e. churches outside the city centre, · members, i.e. organisations that emerged out of PCM, such as Yeast · co-opted members
The Board consists of 12-16 trustees (click here to view a list of the trustees). The Foundation appoints a Managing Director to implement its objectives and to manage the day-to-day running of the Foundation.
Affiliated to the Foundation is a number of interdependent programmes and institutions focusing on different sectors of urban development (click here to view our movement tree). The affiliates either grew out of the work of the Foundation / PCM or was created in partnership with other organisations / churches. The affiliates are set up with their own management structures and are responsible for their day-to-day management. The Foundation supports them in this.
Pretoria Community Ministries is still under the direct management of the Foundation, this is the responsibility of the Pretoria Community Ministries Director together with the PCM management team (click here to view a list of the management team), meeting bi-weekly.
Monthly financial statements are prepared for the management committee, quarterly financial reports for the Board of Trustees, and an annual audited financial statement and programme report are prepared and are available on request. All programmes have strategic plans using the logical framework and SMART objectives. These are monitored on a monthly basis. External evaluations are also done on a regular basis, both by some of the donor agencies and government departments that are supporting the work, but also by individual consultants engaged by the Foundation. |
